Drexel University Habitat for Humanity

*On February 6, 2011 our campus chapter will be participating in an Action Planning Session from 9 AM to 4 PM to discuss fundraising ideas and membership opportunities with national Habitat for Humanity volunteers. *Drexel Habitat is in need for volunteers to help run the Habitat for Humanity table at Accepted Students Days March 5th and 6th and April 9th and 10th. Please sign up for at least one day at signup.duhabitat.org.

*The next General Body Meeting will be held Thursday, January 20th, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. in 3014 McAlister

Interested in getting more involved? Have a few great ideas to share? Just want to know what’s going on? We are having an action planning session on Feb. 6 from 9 am – 4 pm, with a break for lunch. Food will be provided and the session is being run by a Habitat International representative, so the time will be effectively utilized. Feel free to come for 1/2 day or all day. Great opportunity to have an influence on the organization. Signup here, (we need an estimate of people so we can plan for food).

Habitat Philly runs a restore store (basically a garage sale out of their warehouse). We are going to help out for the day (8:30-2:30). It’s a lot of fun and a good opportunity to meet other Habitat folks. signup here.

Meetings this term will be Thursdays, 6 PM in 3014 MacAlister (our office). Weeks 1,3,5,7,9 are board meetings and 2,4,6,8,10 are general body meetings. Everyone is welcome at both types. The board meetings will involve more planning and specifics. The GBMs will be more announcement oriented, as well as other activities.
