• The first Canning event of the season will be help on Friday, April 27 from 3-5pm

The next meeting will be May 9 at 7pm  in the second floor lounge of Ross Commons.

Accepted Students Days are 04/15 and 16 and 04/21 and 22 from 12-2:30pm in the Rec Center

• These will be posted on signup.duhabitat.org, please sign up for a day, or just come, if you are available from 12-2:30pm on those days!

ReStore is on 04/14 from 12-4pm

The Fundraising Documentary will be planned during our Habitat General Body Meetings so if you are interested in helping out please come to the next and subsequent meetings

• If you would like to help but have a conflict during the meeting times, please e-mail Pete at pvp29@drexel.edu
• Also e-mail Pete if you have any ideas about what to put in the video; the current theme is “I want to build!”

Canning is starting on 04/27 and will then occur every Friday this term from 4-6pm

• Canning is when Habitat members go to 30th Street Station and “can” for money by holding hard hats and asking passer-bys for spare change
• Please sign up on signup.duhabitat.org when the days are posted to sign up; training for the sessions will be held at the next meeting on 04/25

The next General Body Meeting will be help on April 25 at 7pm in the lounge on the second floor of Ross Commons.

There will be the first General Body Meeting of the spring term on April 11, 2012 in the Second Floor Lounge of Ross Commons, at 7pm.

We will be discussing events for the term, so hope to see you there!

The following are the minutes from the meeting last Thursday. If you were unable to attend the meeting, hopefully you’ll make it to the next one!

• If anyone is interested in helping create a short video about Habitat and why you build for HFH, please contact Pete at pvp29@drexel.edu. He is the fundraising chair and would like some people to be in the video and help film and edit the video.
• DU Habitat will be helping out at Spring Jam next term; if you have any ideas for a booth DU Habitat could do, e-mail Neha at neha.habitat@gmail.com. We are looking for some ideas and some people who may be interesting in coordinating the event!
• DU Habitat is planning a new T-shirt design! If you have an idea, or want to design a shirt, please design it and send it to Neha (address above) by Thursday, March 8.
• Pete will be making a presentation on the housing crisis on Thursday, March 8 from 5:30-6:30 for the Lindy Center. If you want to go, e-mail him and he’ll let you know where to go!

• The build that was scheduled for Saturday, Feb 18, was cancelled.  Another build will be scheduled for sometime in March.
• A Tools Workshop will be held on February 25, from 12:30pm-3:30pm at the Habitat Warehouse.  This event will be done with UPenn and Temple’s Habitat chapters as well. E-mail Neha at neha.habitat@gmail.com as well as sign-up for it at signup.duhabitat.org if you’re interested in attending.  We’re hoping to get 10 people in attendance so please think of coming!
• If you have any free time during the week, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday, and are interested in volunteering for Habitat at those time, e-mail Neha (neha.habitat@gmail.com) and she will let you know when/where/with whom.  Habitat Philly is helping us get more volunteering time, so this is how we’re trying to give you guys some more volunteering time!
• A ReStore event will be held on March 17 from 8:30am-12:30pm.  If you are interested please sign up at signup.duhabitat.org.
• There will also be a ReStore volunteer held with AMSA on April 14 from 12noon-4pm.  This is also the day of Relay for Life, but you won’t be that late for relay so we’d really like 10 volunteers!  This will also be on signup.duhabitat.org soon.
• If you’d like to help with our Act! Speak! Build! Week that will happen in early April, please e-mail Christine at cvw28@drexel.edu telling her so.

There will be a General Body Meeting on Thursday, Feb 16, in Ross 302 at 8:00pm.

o We will be finishing our letter drive at the next meeting, so also be thinking about possibly businesses around Philly to send the letters

• A doodle poll will be coming out soon with times for volunteering at Habitat’s ReStore so look out for that!
